Meetings are a part of every professional's life. The actions we take as meeting facilitators can either make meetings productive or painful for participants. Take your meetings to the next level using Always Actions.
  • Send the agenda out 24 hours in advance
  • What’s the action (next step)? Who is responsible? What is the timeline?
  • Speak with one voice; lead together
  • Norms listed on the agenda
  • Remain accountable to your purpose
  • Be solution focused. Identify problems and focus on solutions.
  • Understand your role/purpose (participant, listener, facilitator)
  • Evaluate the meeting; use plus/delta for feedback from members
  • If you have something to say, say it in the room.
  • Be clear if there are items on there that are going to be shared for feedback, to change, for information, etc. (Discussion, Action, Decision Making)
  • If you want consensus, use a strategy (thumbs up, like it/live with it)
  • Use sticky notes, if you need to facilitate sticking points
  • Be present. Be actively engaged. Collaborate.
  • Start/End on time
