00:01
and I think when you’re leading an
00:03
organization while you’re going through
00:06
change you have to be sensitive and
00:08
cognizant of the people that you’re
00:10
impacting and so for me I’ve always been
00:14
thoughtful about Who I am packed and how
00:16
I impact them in the most recently I’ve
00:18
been able to embrace a philosophy known
00:21
as outward mindset and how I see people
00:23
and so as we’re moving forward through
00:26
this change cycle As Leaders how you
00:28
drag those folks still trying to do the
00:31
work with you through that process can
00:33
impact the entire organization so for me
00:36
how I see those individuals makes a
00:39
difference and so when I’m in this
00:42
transition what I’m trying to make the
00:43
organization understand is that we still
00:45
have to move forward there’s some things
00:47
that have to happen for students but we
00:50
also have some employees some frontline
00:52
folks who are really are sensing a level
00:55
anxiety and unrest and feeling like
00:59
they’re drinking from a firehose how do
01:01
we take some of that pressure off of
01:03
them intentionally but at the same time
01:06
continue to move us for so that means
01:08
that we’re really kind of shifting and
01:10
creating a coherent structure at the
01:13
central office level so that we’re able
01:15
to focus on how we support those leaders
01:18
or those teachers through this
01:20
transition and through the continued
01:22
movement forward and being very
01:24
intentional so if you think about what
01:26
continuous improvement is really all
01:27
about is you’re kind of stopping and
01:30
checking to see what’s working right to
01:32
me this transition and this idea of
01:34
moving forward is a PDSA in real action
01:38
is really living that and modeling that
01:41
so that’s what my goal is is to continue
01:44
to move forward we absolutely have 19
01:46
thousand eight hundred and something
01:48
more students who are looking at us
01:50
every day to do something positive for
01:52
them and I keep that at the forefront of
01:54
what we do every day but at the same
01:56
time I have 3,000 employees that need to
01:59
get this work done and we need to be
02:00
sensitive about them too
