While working with other people it’s not uncommon to encounter a difficult colleague. The better prepared we are to handle situations with difficult coworkers, the happier and more productive we will be at work.

In the following video, Mandy and Tatiana are having a conversation about a project Mandy is designing for Tatiana’s team. Mandy becomes rather difficult and puts Tatiana in a tough situation. Watch the video clip below and then determine how you would respond. How should she respond to Mandy? What would you say if you were Tatiana?
How should Tatiana respond to Mandy? What would you say to the difficult coworker, if you were Tatiana?

okay all right I’m really excited
00:03
to show this to you we kind of talked to
00:05
we met about the content and I’ve got
00:07
the infographic ready so let’s take a
00:09
look all right
00:10
you see that it kind of starts off
00:11
presenting it as a journey which I know
00:13
I mean that’s perfect that’s exactly how
00:15
it should be and then we start with the
00:17
admissions and enrollment process and
00:21
then it goes through every single step
00:24
of the process and then we’ve got the
00:28
program it’s 30 weeks okay and I think
00:37
that we’ll need to make some changes
00:40
remember how we have changed our
00:42
progression policies so these not
00:46
numbers here are regards of dates and
00:49
hours I think we’ll just have to update
00:52
them I think maybe instead so that we
00:54
don’t run into this problem in the
00:56
future I’ll just take them off well it
01:00
would it would be useful for for our
01:02
students to have the time in I mean it
01:06
is great to have you know that’s not
01:08
really the way that the design process
01:09
works if I get it onto the website
01:11
there’s constant updates I’ve heard I
01:13
mean I think I overheard we wanted a
01:15
printed version of this it’s gonna be
01:16
out there it’s gonna be wrong I I just
01:19
don’t think that’s the best idea
01:21
no I do think that we need to have the
01:25
time in somewhere do you think that we
01:29
can add it somewhere else
01:31
down in the document?

No!
